Hotels in outer space? Billionaire reveals audacious plans

With consumer space flights expected to launch within three months, British billionaire Richard Branson has revealed his plans to build hotels in outer space.

Branson's proposal is contingent on the success of Virgin Galactic, the space tourism venture owned by him and Abu Dhabi's government-owned investment fund Aabar Investments, ArabianBusiness.com reports.

If you want to catch a ride on one of the first commercial trips into outer space, flights on a Virgin Galactic spaceship will initially cost a cool quarter of a million dollars.
